💰 Using the Faucet
The Faucet allows you to mint mock tokens (mETH and mBTC) once every 24 hours per token. These tokens are used for trading on the DEX.
How to Claim Tokens
- Connect your wallet (see Getting Started).
- Navigate to the Faucet page.
- Select either mETH or mBTC using the token selector tabs.
- Check your current balance for that token.
- If the claim button says "Claim [Token]", click it to receive 10 tokens.
- Confirm the transaction in MetaMask when prompted.
Cooldown System
Each token has a 24-hour cooldown per wallet address. The cooldown is tracked independently for mETH and mBTC, meaning you can claim both tokens on the same day — just not the same token twice.
- Progress bar — Shows how much of the cooldown has elapsed.
- Countdown display — Shows the exact time remaining until your next claim.
- Badge indicator — Shows "Claim Ready" (green) or "On Cooldown" (gray).
Claim History & Analytics
The analytics panel on the Faucet page shows:
- Lifetime Claimed — Total tokens claimed so far
- Last Claim — Timestamp of your most recent claim
- Cooldown Remaining — Time until next available claim
Note: The Faucet distributes 10 tokens per claim. After claiming, your balance updates automatically. You can see your balances in the wallet dropdown or on the Analytics page.
